A brake pressure control unit with a sleeve (5), insertable into the housing (1) of a brake pressure sensor, is proposed, which has a first valve device (21, 22) for controlling the brake pressure and a second valve device (16) as return flow valve. The first valve device (21, 22) has a control piston (23), displaceable as a function of the pressure against the force of a control spring (25), with a closing section (22), which interacts with a valve seat (21) provided in a second sleeve (12), which is displaceable in the first sleeve (5). The displacement capability of the second sleeve (12) means that the onset of an outlet pressure decrease is virtually simultaneous with the inlet pressure decrease. Due to the arrangement, in accordance with the invention, of the valve seat (21) on a component movable separately from the first sleeve (5) materials can be chosen for the first valve device (21, 22), which guarantee optimum tightness with simultaneous insensitivity to brake fluid and high temperatures. <IMAGE>
