PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction during the blanking and to miniaturize the whole device by providing a deciding mean to change the reproduction-signal omitting time between the high-speed-feed selecting operation and the blank-skip operation. CONSTITUTION:The high-speed feed command from an operational command electrical switching mean of the tape recorder is supplied to the logical circuit 11 of a microcomputer to let a mechanism 2 that includes a magnetic head 3 become in a state in which the high-speed feeding and taking out of the reproduction signal are available. Then, if the reproducing of music-lacking part of the tape lasts for a specified time, the deciding mean 4 decides the existence or non-existence of the music by the signal from the head 3. By the output 5 from this mean 4, a blank deciding mean 6 decides the blank-skip signal 7, and inputs it to an omitting time deciding mean 8 and the logical circuit 10. The deciding mean 8 decides the music-interval detection signal 9 in the output signal 5, and supplies a detection signal 9 to the logical circuit 10 to prevent any malfunction during the blanking time, and consequently miniaturize the whole device.
