PURPOSE:To eliminate the adverse effect of the unnecessary reflected wave mixed in a video signal, by detecting the position of object by using the output of an arrangement detector obtained by rotating said detector. CONSTITUTION:An input signal 8 is condensed by an optical system 56 and the optical image of visual field 4 on a condensing surface is focused to an arrangement detector 54 but, because the arrangement detector 54 is rotated by a rotary machine 57, output accompanied by this rotation is obtained as the output 7 of the arrangement detector 54 in synchronous relation to a clock signal 21 and an objective part is extracted by a gate signal 22 in a gate circuit 59 to obtain the output 11 of the gate circuit 59 while this output 11 is converted to an azimuth angle error signal 13 and a high and low angle error signal 14. By using both error signals 13, 14, only the signal of the objective part is extracted to make it possible to know the position of an object.
