PURPOSE:To prevent burning accident by disposing, for main insulation, between the high-voltage coil and the low-voltage coil an insulating material sheet mixed with carbon so as not to create one turn, and grounding the insulating material sheet, thereby reducing the loss which is caused in the shield. CONSTITUTION:A low-voltage winding 2 and a high-voltage winding 3 are wound around a core 1, and between the low-voltage winding 2 and the high- voltage winding 3, a shield 4 is disposed for main insulation so as not to create one turn thereby preventing a surge entering from a system connected to the high-voltage winding 3 from moving to the low-voltage winding 2, and the shield 4 is grounded by a lead 5 and kept at the ground potential. As the shield material of the shield 4, an insulating sheet mixed with carbon fiber is used. Since the nature of carbon fiber being conductive while having high resistance, it not only acts as a shield but also can reduce the loss which is caused when it links with a leakage flux, so that there is no possibility of burning even in an SF6 gas-insulated transformer using S6 gas having a bad cooling character istic. |
