PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily and smoothly adjust the driving operation of a car so as to keep a desired running speed while suppressing the generation of acceleration and deceleration, by displaying not only the running speed of a car but also the acceleration or deceleration thereof. CONSTITUTION:A running speed operation means 2 operates a running speed corresponding to the detection signal from a detection means 1 and an acceleration and deceleration operation means 3 operates the acceleration or deceleration of a car corresponding to the timewise change in the operated value of the running speed. An output signal generation means 4 selects a running speed- acceleration region or running speed-deceleration region to which these operated values belong and inputs the selection result to a display means 5. By this method, the running speed and the acceleration or deceleration are together displayed on a display device 50 having a fluorescent display tube part X showing a running speed coordinates axis and fluorescent display tube parts Y1, Y2 showing acceleration +(g) or deceleration -(g).
