A stand is described, having a stand column and having a cantilever arm which can pivot for height adjustment and, at its free end, has a holder for apparatuses. Furthermore, the cantilever arm is relieved of the weight by means of a spring which is fitted to the stand column and to the cantilever arm. In order to control the raising and lowering speed of the cantilever arm 2, a hydraulic piston/cylinder unit 21, having two cylinder chambers (which are connected via a connecting line) and two piston rods is fitted to the stand column 1. One of the piston rods is fitted on the cantilever arm or on a projection 3 which extends beyond the rotation axis of the cantilever arm. A restrictor element in the connecting line damps the fluid flow between the two cylinder chambers to a predetermined value. In the case of a further embodiment of the invention, the hydraulic piston/cylinder unit which is provided according to the invention can be provided in the cantilever arm itself, which cantilever arm has a deflection joint and thrust struts for force deflection. <IMAGE> |
