The device is used for controlling the position of the stator current vector of a rotating-field machine which is supplied with an impressed current via an invertor. It has two sawtooth-waveform generators whose output signals are compared in the input circuit of a limiting-value signalling device. The output signal of this limiting-value signalling device operates a changeover device in order to change the stator current vector position. The drive unit for supplying the voltages for the valves of the invertor contains two ring counters (10, 11) to which the output signal of a voltage/frequency converter (9) is applied. The control device makes it possible to operate the machine in both rotation directions. For this purpose, it has an evaluation circuit (101) which is used to identify the polarity of the frequency control voltage (Un), which is provided upstream of the voltage/frequency converter (9). Its output signal (b) is passed to the forward/backward input of the ring counters (10, 11). This device is suitable, for example, for use in rolling mills, railway drives or roller beds. <IMAGE> |
