A description is given of a clutch with direction-dependent torque transmission behaviour. The clutch is a modified freewheel in that it can both transmit a torque in one direction and, to a lesser extent, in the other direction. For this purpose, the clutch (1) has wedging elements (4) which are embedded in elastic material (5). The elastic material (5) is in frictional contact with the inner running surface of an outer ring (2). The clutch can be used as a friction disc in a motor-vehicle clutch. <IMAGE>
