In a neck frame fastening device, in particular for cattle, with travelling waggons which are guided in a cross-sectionally C-shaped upper rail and in each case consist of a plate (1) and, fastened thereto, a hanging-in device for the upper chain links of the neck frame, unhanging in the case of a lying animal is facilitated in that there are fastened to the plate (1) with mutual spacing a bearing sleeve (8) and an eye (9), in which a horizontal bolt (10) is guided displaceably, and that the bolt (10) can be locked in closed position. The bar (16) is preferably arranged transversely movably and spring-loaded. The bolt (10) is rotatable and aligned parallel to the upper rail.
