An edge deburring device of the rotary or rotary-head type with a pair of upper and lower disc-shaped (rotary) cutters (1, 1') and two similar reserve cutters (101, 101'), which are all mounted or supported on a rotatable main body (3), is improved according to the invention by the fact that the main body (3) is rotated in a controlled manner around a centre (0) of symmetry of the two pairs of cutters (1, 1'; 101, 101') and, in addition, moved or fed forwards horizontally in a controlled manner in the transverse direction of a strip (10, 11) to be cut or deburred at the edge, allowing the deburring of the edge to be continued steadily and without interruption in the event of a change in the deburring width of the strip during its passage. <IMAGE>
