摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory bit output signal at plural columns of the photodetecting element by compensating a defective bit output of along-sized one-dimensional photodetecting element by a signal processing circuit installed at the external part of the photodetecting element. CONSTITUTION:A photodetecting element 1 having a bit column arranged in a column formed at the crossover of respective electrodes of a longitudinal column and a horizontal column, a shift register 3 to scan and output successive ly a bit column of the photodetecting element in accordance with the clock pulse and an output signal of the photodetecting element having a switch means 2 are inputted into a shift register 6, shifted up in accordance with a clock pulse and latched, and parallel output signals of Q2-Qn are obtained and a counter 4 to count a clock pulse is provided. A memory 5 to output bit informa tion of an address corresponding to the counted value of the counter and the output of the memory and plural outputs Q2-Qn of the shift register are con nected, and composed of a multiplexer 8 to select and output one out of the outputs Q2-Q3 in response to the output signal of the memory.
