The invention relates to a water-supply pipe for cage installations in poultry farms, with drinking nipples assigned to each cage. The drinking nipple is inserted in a manner known per se in a short but thick-walled drinking-pipe section and, in the end region of this drinking-pipe section, sockets are formed and the connecting pipelines which connect the drinking-pipe sections and preferably consist of plastic exhibit a plug-in end, the outer diameter of which corresponds to the inner diameter of the socket, with the result that the connecting pipelines are inserted, by press-fitting, into the drinking-pipe sections without play.
