PURPOSE:To produce a peptide hormone belonging to a secretin-VIP family having a specific amino acid sequence and useful as a vasodilator, blood flow improver, etc., easily, in high purity, in large amount, by the chemical synthesis using the condensation reaction of amino acids. CONSTITUTION:The peptide hormone belonging to the secretin-VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) family and having the amino acid sequence of formula I (R<1> is H or group of formula II; R<2> is OH or amino) is chemically synthesized by the condensation reaction of amino acids. Concretely, the objective compound is obtained by bonding an amino-protected C-terminated amino acid to a benzhydrylamine resin, removing the amino-protecting group, repeating the operation according to the amino acid sequence, removing al-l the protecting groups and separating the peptide from the resin. |
