PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of discharge by eliminating effects caused by toners by providing a groove in parallel with or inclined to discharge space in a spacer on the rear side in relation to the advancing direction of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:In a multi-needle electrode head 20, a spacer material 4 is coated on the whole surface of an electrode in which a multi-needle electrode 1 and a control electrode 2 are buried, the corresponding portion of the electrode 1 is polished by the polisher of a tool movably provided along the longitudinal direction of the head 20 to form a given width of discharge space 3 over the longitudinal direction of the head 20. A groove 21 in parallel with the space 3 is formed in the spacer behind the moving side of the recording medium 5 on the head 20. In the groove 21, toner staying on the recording medium 5 moving on the front of the head 20 is deposited even after cleaning, preventing the intrusion of toner into the discharge space 3. |
