A key-actuated lock (9) is attached to an outer wall plate (8) on a fastening foot (4) of a luggage carrier (1). A sealing element (12) consisting of frost-resistant plastic is rotatably mounted on the outer end face (9') of the said lock in an outer wall (14) of a housing (20). The sealing element (12) has, at its passage orifice (17), two wiper lips (18), the free ends of which bear against one another or even overlap in a position of rest.
