PURPOSE:To shorten the time necessary for producing printed data of the next page and the data storing time by re-writing data in other areas to a specific value instead of modifying data in the specified area of a means for storing picture data to be printed and clearing the contents. CONSTITUTION:When printed data of one page is arranged in a page buffer 1, a picture clock 9 and an address clock signal 10 are inputted to a parallel/ series converting circuit 4 and an address counter 11, respectively. An image buffer memory 3 is accessed and data is sequentially read out. Start and end addresses in the same data area as that on the next page are latched in comparator circuits A24 and B26. An otuput signal 25 and an output signal 27 are outputted when the value of the address counter 11 is equal or above and when it is equal or below, respectively. Where in an AND circuit 29 its data area is the same as that on the next page, the same data as the read data in the image buffer memory 3 is outputted. When the data is out of the area, it goes to '0' to clear the memory 3. |
