PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording material having favorable transparency and showing favorable adhesion between a base film and a thermal color forming layer, wherein a water-soluble polyester resin is incorporated in the thermal color forming layer as a binder. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble polyester resin, preferably, having a molecular weight of 16,000-18,000 and a pour point of 90-120 deg.C, is incorporated as a binder in a thermal color forming layer in a thermal recording material having a thermal color forming layer comprising a leuco dye, e.g., 3-(N-methyl-N- cyclohexylamino)-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran, and a color developer, e.g., benzyl p-hydroxybenzoate, on a polyester film. The polyester resin as the binder is used in an amount of 1-4pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the total amount of the dye and the color developer. |
