PURPOSE:To enable accurate measurement of tractive force, by providing a load cell capable of measuring force in three axes and two correction circuits to remove effect of traverse force on the tractive force during the testing. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical 2-axis load cell 2 having a strain gauge stuck on the end face 2a thereof turned in X and Y directions is fixed on a carriage 1 while four load washers 11 for detecting the distortion in the Y direction in the perimeter of a spacer 10 provided between the load cell 2 and a fixed spindle 3. Then, a first correction circuit 8 is provided to correct cross talk due to the force FZ in the direction of a load and a second correction circuit 15 to correct tractive force during the testing. Thus, the load cell 2 and the load washers 11 detect the distortions in X, Z and Y directions and the correction circuits 1 and 2 remove effect of traverse force FY on the tractive force. Thus, the tractive force (rolling resistance value) can be measured accurately. |
