PURPOSE:To achieve an accurate and simple measurement, by a method wherein a high polymer to be measured is supported evenly into a porous support and the gas permeation factor of the carrier is measured to determine the gas permeation factor of the high polymer being measured based on the results. CONSTITUTION:A high polymer to be measured is applied to a porous support to be supported evenly and the solvent is evaporated to prepare a sample. Then, using the samples, the gas permeation factor of the high polymer being measured is calculated by a specified formula from the void and the gas permeation factor of the porous support previously measured. With such an arrangement, a clean liquid free of dirt can be applied on a porous support thereby facilitating the making of a thin film without a pinhole or the like and thus, the measurement of the gas permeation factor can be performed accurately and simply. |
