PURPOSE:To assure air-tightness and to improve reliability and safety by connecting cooling water introducing and leading-out pipes to the sealing plate of a water-cooling jacket construction and forming the juncture thereof into a welded joint construction. CONSTITUTION:The cooling water is introduced through the cooling water introducing pipe 7 into the jacket of the sealing plate 3 having the water-cooling jacket construction when the cooling water is supplied trough the cooling water inlet 5 at one end of a revolving shaft 4 while the plate 3 is held in tight contact with the sealing surface 2 of a vessel 1. The cooling water flows through the cooling water leading-out pipe 8 in succession thereto and is led out through the cooling water outlet 6 at one end of the shaft 4 by which the cooling water is circulated. The plate 3 is cooled by the cooling water circulating in the above- mentioned manner. The plate 3 mates with the sealing surface 2 of the vessel 1 and closes tightly said face and therefore the high temp. heating atmosphere in the vessel is thoroughly shut off and the air-tightness is maintained. The juncture of the pipes 7, 8 is thoroughly hermetically sealed by the welded joint construction 9 and therefore there is no possibility of leakage of the cooling water to the outside. |
