PURPOSE:To manufacture inexpensively sliding material resistant to heat shock cracking and breakage, by holding a base material made of metal having larger thermal expansion coefft. than ceramic to be sprayed to high temp., and plasma spraying ceramic to the surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the base material made of metal (stainless steel, carbon steel, etc.) having larger thermal expansion coefft. than the thermal sprayed ceramic is treated by blasting, then heated to cover it with ceramic by plasma thermal spraying. Material in which Al2O3, Al2O3.TiO2, WC, Cr2O3 are combined suitably, is used to ceramic, covering thickness is regulated to about 0.3mm. By this way, base material superior in heat shock resistance as sliding material for dewatering of paper machine is obtd. |
