PURPOSE:To obtain a feeding apparatus which performs minute straight feed with high precision at high or low speed, by nipping a feed rod from the both sides by rollers and revolution-driving said rollers by a stepping motor. CONSTITUTION:A feed rod 1 is nipped by the pressure corresponding to a necessary feeding thrust from the upper and lower parts by a feeding small roller 2 and a pressing roller 4. Said roller 2 is supported by a pair of back-up rollers 3. Further, the roller 2 is revolution-driven by a stepping motor 7, and when the motor 7 is revolution-driven with the desired pulses, the feed rod 1 can be provided with the correct straight feed corresponding to the number of pulses. Since the feed is performed by the rolling contact between the roller and the feed rod, generation of backlash is prevented, and the minute straight feed less than 1mum can be obtained correctly. |
