PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material free of decoloration of a developed color image part or development of ground color due to contact with oils or a plasticizer and having a high image stability, wherein a coloring reaction of a specified fluoran with an antipyrine complex of zinc thiocyanate is utilized. CONSTITUTION:The objective thermal recording material utilizes the coloring reaction of (A) a fluoran compound of formula I, wherein each of R1 and R2 is 1-8C alkyl or cyclohexyl, R3 is 1-2C alkyl, and R4 is H or methyl, e.g., 3-diethylamino-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran or 3-(N-ethyl-N-isoamylamino)-6-methyl-7- anilinofluoran, with (B) and antipyrine complex of zinc thiocyanate of formula II. |
