PURPOSE:To increase brightness and to provide visibility even in dark environment by adhering a reflecting body to the bottom surface of a polarizing plate and putting phosphor into the adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:The reflecting body 2 formed by subjecting a PET film to vapor deposition of aluminum is adhered to the bottom surface of the polarizing plate 1 by means of the transparent adhesive agent dispersed therein with the phosphor 3. The external light made incident to the plate 1 is reflected by the body 1 and is reflected by the phosphor 3 as well. Some part is reflected and the other part is absorbed and is dissipated as heat according to wavelength regions in ordinary reflection. The reflection and absorption arise selectively with the fluorescent material as well but the most of the absorbed part is again radiated as the reflected light without being converted to heat. The light having the higher visibility than in the ordinary reflection is thus reflected and the image is made visible in the dark environment as well.
