PURPOSE:To provide a lustering agent for wood floor which allows repeated use of mop and waste cloth in washing with water, prepd. by dissolving or dispersing a wax and a specified nonionic surfactant in a solvent. CONSTITUTION:The lustering agent is prepared by adding 100pts.wt. natural wax such as animal, vegetable or mineral waxes (e.g. hardened beef tallow wax or montan wax) or modified product thereof, or synthetic wax (e.g. polvethylene wax having an M.W. of 500-5,000) or modified product thereof, 1-30pts.wt. nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 8-12 (e.g. polyoxyethylene alkyl ehter) and when necessary, dispersant, dye perfume, etc. to a solvent (e.g. mineral spirit). The mixt. is heated to 60-120 deg.C for dissolution under stirring, followed by cooling unik stirring.
