CUTTING MECHANISM OF WIRE ROD HAVING SQUARE SECTIONAL FORM

PURPOSE:To make cutting force small and to miniaturize the whole device by making angle control of a wire rod of square sectional form and cutting in the direction of a diagonal line. CONSTITUTION:A roll 251 on which a long wire rod of square sectional form 250 is wound spirally is placed behind a head part 230. V-shaped grooves to which four edges of the wire rod of square sectional form 250 are fitted are formed on outer peripheral faces of a vertical guide pulley 253 and horizontal guide pulley 254. Each V-shaped groove is formed of inner walls that make an angle equal to an angle made by two faces that form each edge of the wire rod of square sectional form 250. A pair of cutters 270 for cutting the wire rod of square sectional form 250 are attached to a subbracket 252 and reciprocate in opposite direction to hold the fed wire rod 250 from right and left directions and cut the wire rod.
