PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of torsional deformation of a chassis under travelling by bending a roof-bow with longer curvature than that of a roof panel in the lateral direction while pressure contacting the intermediate section of said roof-bow through a resilient member against the roof-panel face. CONSTITUTION:A roof-bow 6A is bend with longer curvature than that of roof- panel 1 in lateral direction such that upon jointing of the opposite end sections to the rail outer 3A of roof side rail 2A, the referential profile line will project slightly from the roof panel 1. Consequently, reaction force is produced in the roof-bow 6A thus to stretch the roof-panel 1. While in order to avoid direct contact between the roof-bow 6A and the roof panel 1, a resilient member 11 is placed between the opposite side edge flanges 7A at the intermediate portion of roof-bow 6A and the roof panel 1. Consequently, the relative motion between the roof-panel 1 and the roof-bow 6A due to subtle torsional deformation of chassis under travelling is allowed. |
