PURPOSE:To improve the fuel atomization and the mixture of fuel and air by providing one fuel injection valve per one cylinder, by disposing fuel supply passages between an injection port of the valve and two inlet passages and by actuating the valve at a specified operation area. CONSTITUTION:A first inlet passage 7 supplies inlet air to a combustion chamber 3 and a second inlet passage 8 is equipped with an opening/closing valve 11 to close at least when inlet air is less. In this case one fuel injection valve 20 is provided per each cylinder 2 at almost in the midst of said inlet passages 7, 8. Between an injection port 20a of the injection valve 20 and said inlet passages 7, 8 two fuel supply passages 21, 22 are provided. The injection amount of said injection valve 20 an ignition timing are controlled by a control means. And at least at the operation area where the second inlet passage 8 is closed by the opening/closing valve 11 the ignition timing is set up in such a manner that said injection valve 20 performs fuel injection at inlet cycle of the cylinder 2. |
