PURPOSE:To prevent driving force from increasing more than required by disengaging a click for locking reverse rotation in accordance with the vertical movement of a joint after coupling a counter of a jacket with the joint of the electronic still camera side. CONSTITUTION:A joint gear 5 which can be rotated around a joint shaft 4 both upwards and downwards is usually excited upwards by a coupling spring 6. A projected part 5a to be engaged with a recessed part formed on a counter of the jacket side is formed on the joint gear 5. When the counter of the jacket side is coupled with the joint gear 5 of a driving mechanism part of the electronic still camera side, the joint gear 5 is moved downwards and a reverse rotation locking lever 11 is rotated in the counterclockwise direction, so that a latchet wheel 7a is prevented from reverse rotation. When a solenoid is driven repeatedly and the recessed part of the counter is opposed to the projected part 5a of the joint, the joint gear 5 is pushed upwards and a locking part 11a of the lever 11 is disengaged from the latchet wheel 7a.
