PURPOSE:To make an outer rim high in accuracy and to shorten the time for working a wheel by roll forming an inner rim by a spinning machine after forging the outer rim. CONSTITUTION:A wheel material 15 in which the outer rim 1 is formed by forging is strongly held by left and right mandrels 16, 17 of a spinning machine. The mandrel 17 is connected to an electric motor through a speed changing device and rotated at specified revolution numbers, and the mandrel 16 and wheel material 15 are also rotated simultaneously. A thick-walled part 21 is ironed to form the inner rim 2 by a roller 20 copy-controlled by an oil pressure electric servo or an oil pressure servo etc. in the direction of arrow marks 18, 19 and the inner rim 2 shown by broken lines is formed gradually. Further, movement of the roller 20 in the direction of arrow marks 18, 19 is made by required number of times, and spinning work is not necessary for the outer rim 1.
