PURPOSE:To make driving according to driver's intention performable, by installing a setting position selecting device capable of setting a torque ratio of a stepless transmission to stepless or multisteps in succession by means of manual operation. CONSTITUTION:A setting position selecting device 3 setting a torque ratio of a stepless transmission operates with a shift lever 6. Motion of this lever 6 at a manual M setting position is transmitted to a potentiometer 31. And, there is provided with a setting torque ratio detector 32 detecting the setting torque ratio with potential difference of this meter 31. And, setting revolving speed of an input pulley of the stepless transmission is calculated from a setting torque ratio signal out of this detector 32 and output pulley revolving speed out of an output pulley revolving speed detector 41. Then, this setting revolving speed is compared with the input pulley revolving speed, and a shift signal, which compares the speed difference with the specified value and zero and increases or decreases the torque ratio of the stepless transmission, is outputted to a pulley controller 45 whereby the torque ratio is controlled. |
