PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the air side heat transfer rate by reducing the dead water region in the after current of heat transfer pipes and promoting the disturbance of air flow due to the blowing-off of air flow and generation of vortices by a structure wherein upright shaved parts having a large number of holes thereon are provided perpendicular to a flat plate fin between a row of the heat transfer pipes on upstream side of air flow and a row of the heat transfer pipes on downstream side of air flow on the flat plate fin. CONSTITUTION:A group of horseshoe vortices developed on the upstream side of air flow of heat transfer pipes 7 and 8 can be moved round the pipes in the after current regions of the pipes by providing cut-and-rised parts 12 and 13 in the after current regions of the heat transfer pipes 7 and 8 and consequently the so-called dead water region can remarkably be reduced. In addition, because a large number of holes 10 and 11 are respectively provided on the cut-and-rised parts 12 and 13, the flows flowing over the upper parts of the cut-and-rised parts 12 and 13 and the flows blown-off through the holes 10 and 11 promote the disturbance of air flow, resulting in mixing the flows favorably. Furthermore, the resultant mixed flows adhere to a flat plate fin 5 again at the downstream sides of the cut-and-rised parts 12 and 13, resulting in remarkably improving the air side heat transfer rate. |
