PURPOSE:To enhance the long-term storage stability of an aqueous solid dispersion by suppressing the sedimentation and separation of solid particles, by preparing a solid dispersant by compounding an ethylene oxide adduct of alkanolamide of fatty acid as an effective component. CONSTITUTION:An ethylene oxide adduct of alkanolamide of fatty acid is used as an effective component and a surfactant is compounded, if necessary, to prepare a stable aqueous solid dispersant. Alkanolamine of fatty acid is obtained by reacting alkanolamine with about 6-22C fatty acid and, as alkanol amine, there is monoethanolamine or diethanolamine. The use amount of this dispersant is about 0.01-10pts.wt. of a total dispersion as the effective component and, as a dispersible solid, titanium oxide, iron oxide, zinc oxide or carbon black are designated.
