PURPOSE:To obtain a picture signal with excellent S/N by making the operating timing of a block selecting means different from the operating timing of an individual switch driving a photodetector cell so as to separate an effective signal from a switching noise generated at the operation of the selection means. CONSTITUTION:The 1st individual switch SW11 of a block BL1 is turned on at a point of time with a delay time (td) elapsed from the timing when a selection switch SL1 is turned on to select the block BL1, and the next individual switch SW2 is turned on with a delay time (td) elapsed after OFF from an ON-time (charging time). Thus, as to a picture signal Va, a signal corresponding to each photodetector cell is obtained sequentially at an interval of a time T1 being addition of the ON-time (charging period) of each individual switch and the delay time (td) after the delay time (td) separating a switching noise NZ is elapsed.
