PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of cracks on the glass bulb during sintering by coating the inner surface of the glass bulb with the first fluorescent layer made of a hardly vitrified phosphor and coating the first fluorescent layer with the second fluorescent layer made of an easily vitrified phosphor. CONSTITUTION:The inner surface of the glass bulb of a fluorescent lamp is coated with a first fluorescent layer formed from a liquid suspension composed of antimony, calcium halophosphate phosphor activated with manganese, a nitrocellulose-butyl acetate solution, alumina and a dispersant. Then, the first fluorescent layer is coated with a second fluorescent layer formed from a liquid suspension composed of strontium borophosphate phosphor activated with europium, strontium phosphate-magnesium phosphor activated with tin, an ethyl cellulose-xylole solution, alumina and a dispersant. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent any cracks on the glass bulb by interposing a hardly vitrified phosphor between the bulb and the second fluorescent layer. |
