PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as a sensitized material for electrophotography in a short time, by grinding a nonmetallic phthalocyanine having a crystal structure except x type by the use of a grinder of grinding medium stirring type at <= a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:A nonmetallic phthalocyanine having a crystal structure except x type is ground by the use of a grinder of grinding medium stirring type at 10-140 deg.C, to give the aimed nonmetallic phthalocyanine of x type (x-H2Pe for short). More preferably it is used as a raw material phthalocyanine, subjected to solvent solubilization treatment, this solvent solubilized substance is purified with a solvent, the prepared purified solubilized substance is subjected to restoration treatment to give a high-purity nonmetallic phthalocyanine, which is used. x-H2Pe having high formation rate of x-H2Pe and improved electronic characteristics is producible in high reproducibility by applying high shear energy to the nonmetallic phthalocyanine by the use of the grinder at a specific temperature. |
