摘要 PURPOSE:To use multiple firmware with a minimum amount of hardware by installing a write address register, selection control part for selecting a microprogram control data storage device and the write address register and a load controller. CONSTITUTION:When a load is terminated, its indication is transmitted to the selection control part 27, which generates a mode setting signal to turn on the output DO of the firmware microprogram control data storage device 21. With the aid of the mode setting signal, an address input selection part 25 of said device 21 selects the address register 6 of a processor CPU as an address source, while the firmware microprogram control data storage device 21 returns under the control of the processor CPU, and accordingly the microprogram can be executed. Thus, since the titled device is constituted in such a way that the load action of firmware can be accomplished in parallel to the command processing of the processor, multiple firmware can be loaded even during a system operation, which contributes to the improvement of a system throughput.
