摘要 |
PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance by depositing a layer consisting of >=1 metals selected from Ti, Cr and Al as the uppermost layer on a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer 2 is provided on the upper side of a substrate 1 of a photomagnetic recording medium formed with an amorphous film of an Re-TM alloy (where RE is >=1 kinds of rare earth elements and TM is >=1 kinds of transition elements) as the recording layer. The amorphous film of TbFe having 60nm film thickness is used for the recording layer. A metallic protective layer 3 having 100nm thickness is further formed as the uppermost surface layer on the amorphous film 2. The layer 3 consists of Ti, Cr or Al or the alloy thereof. The layer 3 prevents as the getter of oxygen the intrusion of the oxygen into the layer 2 and prevents the decrease of the getter effect by creasing the passive layer on the surface thereof. The compsn. change of the recording layer is thus considerably improved and the generation of pitting is prevented as well. |
