<p>Method of dispersing a first fluid in a second fluid of higher viscosity, comprises flowing the second fluid through a confined zone having a central axis, e.g. a cylindrical pipe, and feeding the first fluid into the second fluid in co-current flow as multiple divided streams. - The density of the streams per sq. ft. of the transverse cross-section of the confined zone is 25-1000, and the streams are equal spaced by 0.375-2.5 in. Specifically the first fluid is O2 , and the second fluid is alkaline papermaking pulp, pref. of 10-15% consistency.</p> |
