<p>ether derivs. of formula (I), or their acceptable salts for pharmaceutical use, are made by alternative processes (a) reacting an aldehyde of formula (III) with a Wittig formula of formula (IVa) or (IVb); (b) reacting a nitrile of formula (V) with an azide, to obtain a cpd. of formula (I) in which Z is (1H)-tetrazol-5-yl; (c) removing the protective gp. R" from a phenol of formula (VI); (d) reacting an erythro-diol of formula (VII) with an aldehyde (VIII) or corresp. acetal, hemi-acetal or hydrate; or (e) reacting a cpd. (IX) with excess aldehyde (VIII) in presence of acid catalyst.</p> |
