<p>PURPOSE:To open an image forming device itself simultaneously with the opening of a copying machine body by using lock means of both an upper and a lower unit even as lock means of the 1st and the 2nd units of the image forming device in common. CONSTITUTION:A fixing device 17 is separable into the upper and lower units and a transfer material P to which a visible image is transferred is sent to the fixing part between the heat roller 183 of the upper unit 182 and the press roller 185 of the lower unit 184. Both upper and lower units are fitted to both upper and lower units of the copying machine body 1 which is constituted separately as the 1st and the 2nd units, and separated and opened upward and downward so that maintenance, inspection, paper jam handling, etc., are facilitated; and the lock mechanism 186 for the copying machine body 1 is installed on the upper unit 182 and the lock claw 186a of this lock mechanism 186 is engaged with an engagement hole 188 formed in the frame 187 of the lower unit 184, so that the lock mechanism serves to lock both upper and lower units and also lock the copying machine body as well.</p> |
