PURPOSE:To detect appropriate movement vector through simple processing without increasing the scale of hardware by providing a means to select the movement vector at which the offset of multiple movement vectors become minimum. CONSTITUTION:The digital TV signals from a terminal 50 are supplied to a representative point extracting circuit 51 and block data extracting circuit 52. The frame difference data integrated values from an integrating circuit 56 are distributed to graph memories 61-64 for every area by a switching circuit 57. The frame difference integral data of the memories 61-64 are supplied to a movement vector detecting circuit 65, and from the minimum values of the frame difference integral data, the movement vector of each area is detected. Also, the minimum values and the frame difference integral data of the memories 61-64 are supplied to a selection reference generating circuit 66. From the circuit 66, a selector signal to select a vector with the highest reliability of the four movement vectors is formed to control a selector circuit 67, and the movement vectors of one field are outputted to a terminal 68. |
