To stop the operation, the switches 4 through 6 are closed and the switch 3 is again closed, and then the xenon tube 1 will become luminous, and in this case, the luminous energy will become larger than when the aforementioned operating signal is issued, because the capacitor 18 is connected in parallel with the capacitor 17.
