PURPOSE:To inform surely the content of an emergency broadcast by allowing a timer to apply the internal power supply of a receiver for a prescribed time depending on an emergency broadcast command. CONSTITUTION:When an emergency signal is transmitted after an emergency signal transmission base station 102 is operated, the emergency signal from a reception antenna 201 is converted into an IF frequency by a mixer section 202 and transmitted to an AGC section 204. When this signal is received by a control section n208, the control section 208 changes an intermittent power application to a mixer section, a local oscillation section 203 and the AGC section 204 into continuous power application and the power is supplied to a demodulation section 205 and an AF amplifier section 206. Then the control section 208 sets the oscillating frequency of an oscillation section 203 to the emergency broadcast frequency, activates a timer 214 for a prescribed time and allows the informing section 207 to inform the emergency braodcast from a base station 104. |
