PURPOSE:To attain highly reliable connection rapidly without using manual operation by sending a picture signal from a television arranged on the field of connection through an optical fiber to an optical cable terminal station and feeding back the calculated result to the field. CONSTITUTION:If a decision is required during the connecting process of optical fibers 2, 2', a command signal from an automatic welding connection device 3 and a picture signal from a television camera 4 are sent to the optical cable terminal station by optical fibers 10, 7 through a controller 5. A computer 9 in the terminal station processes the television picture in accordance with the command signal, calculates necessary parameters and feeds back the calculated results to the operation of the connection device 3. Even if the field of connection is separated far from the terminal station, rapid feedback can be attained and highly reliable connection can be attained rapidly without using manual operation. |
