PURPOSE:To improve fuel consumption rate by providing a scavenging passage inclined opposite to the direction of rotation of a crank to prevent invasion of unevaporated fuel drop from a scavenging port into a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The engine includes a scavenging passage 4 having a scavenging port 3 available for the opening provided in a cylinder 9 having an exhaust port 5 and an intake air port 7 and the scavenging passage 4 is provided inclined opposite to the rotation direction R of a crank 10. The scavenging direction S is given opposite to the rotation direction R of the crank 10.
