Data acquisition system for a computer. This acquisition system comprises a processing means 10 connected to a computer, a hexadecimal keyboard 32 and a hexadecimal display 36 connected to the said processing means, the said hexadecimal keyboard comprising a group 44 of keys for designating each hexadecimal figure, the said processing means being able to poll the status of the hexadecimal keyboard, to control the display on the hexadecimal display in relation to this status and to deliver to the computer a code associated with the hexadecimal number displayed.
