PURPOSE:To lessen the amount of ink to be discharged from a nozzle after pressurization of ink for repairing ink blocking by exactly supplementing the amount of ink by a method in which a valve made of a magnetic material is provided between a main tank and a sub-tank for an ink jet printer, and a magnet is set to open the valve by a magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:Ink jetted from a head 1 is housed in a sub-tank 2, and the supply of ink to the tank 2 is made from a main tank 3 filled with ink through a pressure pump 7. A check valve 18 to prevent the back flow of ink from the sub-tank 2 to the main tank 3 is provided below the ink inlet 21 from the main tank 3 and incorporated with a steel ball 22 with nickel plating as a check valve body. An outer 23 to be connected to the sub-tank is provided above the valve 18. In non-printing position, the steel ball 22 of the valve 18 is attracted by the magnet 19 to connect the ink inlet 21 and an ink outlet 23. The pressurization of ink for repairing blocking and supply of ink to the sub-tank can be made possible. |
