PURPOSE:To improve the starting property of a diesel engine at low temperature, by coupling a negative pressure actuator to a timer, and connecting the negative pressure chamber of the actuator to a vacuum tank through a delay valve. CONSTITUTION:A negative pressure cactuator 14, which functions so that the set pressure of a timer spring 7 is reduced by introducing negative pressure into the actuator, is coupled to a timer 1. A negative pressure circuit 19 from a vacuum tank 20 is connected to the negative pressure chamber 18 of the negative pressure actuator 14. A thermosensitive valve 21 and a negative pressure changeover valve 22 are provided in the negative pressure circuit. A delay valve 25 is provided to maintain the negative pressure of the negative pressure chamber 18 for a while still after the negative pressure circuit is opened into the atmosphere. As a result,ignition can be advanced for a while at the time of low-temperature start of a diesel engine. The starting property of the engine is thus improved. |
