PURPOSE:To permit a cut sheet feeder to be automatically controlled without receiving specific commands for supply or discharge of papers from an upper device by providing a paper length control counter, a Bin designating register, and a suction condition register for the controller of a printer. CONSTITUTION:Lines for only specific letter rows (e.g., //N//) are provided in a printing code in advance. When the lines come, no printing is made by a Bin designating command and the content of the Bin designating register is altered. By the designating command action, the condition of printer is reset concurrently. After the resetting action is ended, when initial printing code comes, a designated paper is automatically sucked in and printing action is started. When the length of designated paper stored in advance is exceeded, printed papers are discharged and resetting condition is again set. By repeating these actions, the sucking and discharge of papers from upper device can thus be automatically controlled without receiving specific commands. |
